School of Technology of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in
Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering namely B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D.

The School emphasizes integrated development in teaching, research and overall grooming of students. The School has established Science, Engineering and Technology Laboratories apart from state of the art academic research infrastructure.

4 Year B.Tech Programme
The School of Technology announces admission of its fourth batch of 4 year B.Tech programme in Civil, Electrical and MechanicalEngineering. The 4 Year B.Tech Programme in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is based on an integrated approach of relevant basic science and engineering and industry technology operations.

Recognition
UGC Recognition:

Selection Process
Admission to the 2010 batch of 4 Year B Tech Programme will be based on the All India Merit Rank in AIEEE 2010 (All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2010), conducted by CBSE on 25th April, 2010. Therefore, only those candidates who are appeared in AIEEE 2010 can apply for this programme.

The short-listed candidates, based on the All India Ranking of AIEEE 2010, will be called for counselling at School of Technology Campus and will be offered admission in order of their merit (based on the AIEEE 2010 ranking).

Number of Seats
The School offers 4 Year B.Tech Programme in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
Civil Engineering                : 60 seats
Electrical Engineering       : 60 seats
Mechanical Engineering   : 60 seats
50% Seats are allotted as Gujarat State Quota in each Programme.

Reservation :
For candidates form Gujarat (120 seats):
1 Schedule Caste (SC) 7%
2. Schedule Tribe (ST) 15%
3. Physically Challenged (PC) 3%
For candidates from Rest of India & Ut’s (120 seats):
4. Schedule Caste (SC) 15%
5. Schedule Tribe (ST) 7.5%
6. Physically Challenged (PC) 3%

Eligibility
Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have appeared for AIEEE-2010 conducted by CBSE on 25th April,2010. Candidates should have scored the minimum required marks in AIEEE-2010 to be eligible for Engineering Admission as stipulated by Central Counselling Board (CCB).

A list of qualifying examinations is given below:

 
 
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education, including Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
Intermediate Science or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University.
Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
Three or four-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Hostel*
On-campus Hostel Facility are not available. Limited seats are available in Outsourced Hostel.

Mess Charges:
For Hostel Students: Rs. 23,000/- (per annum)
For Non Hostel Student: Rs. 16,000/- (per annum)
Payable Amount will be paid by the student at the time of counselling to confirm one’s seat.
Candidate is required to pay the fees of the School, at the time of admission. No extension of time shall be granted for paying the fees. Failure to remit the fees shall be considered as non-acceptance of the admission to the B.Tech Programme of School of Technology; under such circumstance, the seat would be offered to the next candidate in the Merit List.

Mode of Payment:
Payment by Demand Draft:
Fees shall be paid by demand draft in favour of “PANDIT DEENDAYAL PETROLEUM UNIVERSITY” payable at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Cash Payment:
The University and its Schools do not accept cash payment.

Financial Assistance

  1. Scholarships and Fee Waiver:
    Eligible students will be awarded:
    • Merit Scholarship
    • Merit –cum Means Scholarship
    • Special Scholarship and
    • Fee Waiver
  2. Education Loan
    Education loan facility will be made available to the eligible students. Oriental Bank of Commerce has agreed to provide study loans at preferred rate of interest to the students of School of Technology. The School is also in process to tie up with other banks for the financing of the Programme tuition fees and other expenses. Bank officials will remain present at the time of Counselling.

Counselling
Objective of counselling is to verify the personal and academic credentials of candidates viz. identity, age, certificates, medical fitness, academic qualification and thereafter offer admission or provisional admission to eligible candidates, as the case may be.
The counselling will be conducted at the School of Technology, Raisan, Gandhinagar. Merit List and counselling procedure will be on website www.pdpu.ac.in. No individual communication shall be made in this regard.

Submission of Application Form
A candidate has to apply in prescribed Application Form. The application form for Admission 2010. Candidate can download Application form from our website The filled application form should be submitted by Registered or Speed post/courier alon with application fee of Rs. 1200/- in the form of Demand Draft in favour of "Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University" payable at Ahmedabad to the given address. A candidate must write one’s name and complete mailing address with phone number and e-mail id at the overleaf of the demand draft. School of Technology will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay..
The last date for receiving the completed Application Form at School of Technology is August 20, 2010. Applications received after the last date shall not be accepted.
