Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) has been established by GERMI as a Private University through the State Act enacted on 4th April, 2007. The University offers programs to address the need for trained human resources in the domains of Science, Technology, Management and Humanities. It intends to broaden the opportunities for students and professionals to develop core subject knowledge which are duly complemented by leadership training interventions, thereby helping the students to make a mark in the global arena. This objective is being further addressed through a number of specialized and well-planned undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs as well as intensive research projects.

PDPU offers multiple courses ranging from engineering, arts and management along with maximum exposure and opportunities to its students through various national and International exchange programs with Best Universities worldwide. About School of Technology

The school emphasizes on sound theoretical and practical knowledge of the chosen engineering discipline along with a broad overview of other disciplines. It is expected that engineering graduates from School of Technology will care about issues that technology can make difference whether these issues are of health, security, economic well-being or sustainability of world and values. The pedagogy involves industrial orientation, industry internships, civic and social internships, international exposure, workshops and presentations, all geared to give the right learning ecosystem for industry-ready talent. SOT offers 4 years B. Tech., 2 years M. Tech., 2 years M.Sc., 4 years B.Sc. (Hons.) and Doctoral programs in various branches of engineering and sciences.

The Mechanical Engineering Department at PDPU has established itself as one of the premier brands in the technical education in India and has been expanding very fast with increased diversity in the B. Tech, M. Tech, and PhD. The sense of “can do it” confidence is instilled in the present Mechanical Engineering curriculum. The Department has well established academic and research laboratories in various domain of mechanical engineering.

	Prof. S. Sundar Manoharan Director General, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, India Prof. S. Sundar Manoharan has over 30 years of extensive experience in teaching and research in the area of Material science and Nanotechnology. For his immense contribution he was awarded Innovation Gold Medal by the Department of Science and Technology and Lockheed Martin, USA. He is a recipient of Global Indus Techno-Innovators Award for his research contributions on Nanomaterials and Devices, by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA and has received Innovation awards instituted by Intellectual Ventures, USA.
	Prof. Philip Davies University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham, UK Prof. Philip Davies has over 30 years of academic and industrial research experience. The aim of his current research is to achieve sustainable treatment and utilization of water resources in arid regions. His research areas include: desalination and water re-use, solar-powered cooling using seawater, seawater greenhouse technology, and negative emissions technologies. These areas contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals
	Prof. Santanu Bandyopadhyay Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India Prof. Santanu Bandyopadhyay is currently Institute Chair Professor, Department of Energy Science and Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). His research interest includes Process integration, Pinch Analysis, Industrial energy conservation, Modelling and simulation of energy systems, Design and optimization of renewable energy systems.
	Prof. M.V. Rane Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India Prof. MV Rane is Professor at Department of Mechanical, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). His research interest includes Energy Conservation, HVAC&R and Alternate Energy Resources. Prof. Rane developed and demonstrated several patented technologies such as Multi-Utility Heat Pumps, Heat Pump for Canteen Application, Super Heat Recovery Water Heaters etc. and transferred for commercialization.
	Prof. PMV Subbarao Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India Prof. PMV Subbarao is Chair Professor at Mechanical Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi). His research interest includes Experimental turbulence, Tomography, Power Generation Systems and I.C. Engines etc. He has performed some spearheaded work in the field of micro-energy production for the rural areas of India.
	Prof. Sunil Khanna Director, School of Technology, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, India Prof. Sunil is a fellow of the Association of Microbiologists (FAMI) and was the President of the Association of Microbiologists of India in 2016. He is a member of a number of societies in India and abroad, and has also worked as Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Microbiology from 1993 to1996. Prof Sunil has also completed 24 research projects as principal investigator funded by Bilateral (UNDP, Ford foundation, IDRC Canada, NEDO Japan) and National institutions (MNRE, DST, ONGC and DBT).

Publications

All presented and accepted papers from the conference will be published in indexed journals of IOP Conference Series-Material science and Engineering (Scopus). The papers will go through a stringent review process by the respective journals and only papers that pass these checks will be published.
