ADTCE-2015

ADTCE 2015, the 2nd National Symposium will be held at the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar on 11th September, 2015. The one day event will feature a host of events, including technical lectures by various experts from industries and academic organizations, HR Round Table etc.

Gujarat –  ‘The Petro Capital’  of  India,  serves as  a  host to a  complete  portfolio of chemical products  including  pharmaceuticals,  dyes  and  intermediates  and  petrochemicals  in  the downstream. Additionally, the presence of technical institutes provides an excellent pool of knowledge   and   scope   of   new   ideas   for   the   chemical and allied industries.  The 2nd National  Symposium  shall  serve  as  a  platform   that   brings    out   technical   experts  and academicians  to  share  their  knowledge  and  experience  and  in  turn  ignite  the  interests of upcoming  engineers. Interactions with design experts and technologists will update us with the current developments in chemical industries.HR Panel will also help in knowing the difference between the demand of the industry and the education provided by the institutions.

ADTCE-15 is a platform that brings technical experts and academicians to share their knowledge and experience to ignite the interests of upcoming engineers. Interactions with design experts and technologists will enable us to be updated with the current developments in design and trends. Moreover expert speakers will be present to enhance our knowledge and their personal experiences will provide us valuable guidance.

OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of this Symposium are:

• to endure with the industries across India  for outsourcing PDPU and Chemical Engineering Department and improving the Industrial Relation of University;
• Lecture series that emphasizes to impart the recent advancement in different field of chemical engineering;
• to inculcate a  better understanding about plant designing in students

ABOUT PDPU

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University(PDPU) is a research based university in a vibrant city of Gandhinagar, Gujarat, with campus spread over an area of 100acres. Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) has been established by GERMI as a Private University through the State Act enacted on 4th April, 2007. The University offers programs to address the need for trained human resources in the domains of Science, Technology, Management and Humanities. It intends to broaden the opportunities for students and professionals to develop core subject knowledge which are duly complemented by leadership training interventions, thereby helping the students to make a mark in the global arena. This objective is being addressed through a number of specialized and well-planned undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs as well as intensive research projects.

PDPU offers multiple courses ranging from engineering, arts and management along with maximum exposure and opportunities to its students through various national and International exchange programs with best Universities worldwide. For development of its faculties and staff, the University endeavours for various Joint Exchange and Research programs.

CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 2011 with undergraduate programme in chemical engineering. The department now has well established course structure and well developed laboratories for undergraduate students. Courses are designed by Board of Studies in such a manner that provide students to think beyond the class room teaching and make them able to solve open ended problems of real situations. The department is also evolving in the recent areas of research and developments.

 Department has highly dedicated faculty members with impressive teaching, industrial and research experience. Faculty members along with research scholar and undergraduate students have endeavoured a trend to build a strong alliance with the academia as well as industry by organizing different workshops and seminars.

PREVIOUS EVENTS

ADTCE-2014

The department had organized a One-Day National Symposium on Advancements in Design and Trends in Chemical Engineering on 11th April 2014. Shree Ganpat Raj Choudhary from RiddhiSiddhiRocquette was the chief guests for the day.

The event was also graced by the esteemed presence of Shree Jaimin Vasa, President Gujarat Chemical Association (GCA); Shree Samir Patel, Chairman & MD, Amos Enterprise Rtd; Shree RJ Shah, former CEO, Dahej SEZ, along with the senior management of PDPU. About 20 colleges and 35 industries with about 84 delegates took part in the event. The symposium witnessed PDPU and Gujarat Chemical Association (GCA) entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) demarcating their support in promoting innovation and advancement in the field of science and technology. The symposium proved to be a milestone in introducing and elevating the Chemical Engineering Department of PDPU, in front of the industrialists.  

International Conference on Chemical Industries (ICCI-2014)

ICCI-2014 was organized as a pre-vibrant Gujarat summit in association with Gujarat Chemical Associations (GCA), Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb), and Government of Gujarat. Held on 22-23 August, 2014, it aimed at Chemical Industry promotion, collaboration and innovations.

The objective of the event was to foster the development of Chemical Industries through their collaboration and promotion of investments in Gujarat. It had sessions on ‘Chemical Industries and Policy Perspective’, ‘CEO roundtables on Chemical Industries Prospects and Challenges. About 50 colleges and 100 industries with about 300 delegates took part in the event.
