International Students' Admission Process

The minimum educational qualification and admission procedure to be followed for admitting the international students i.e. Foreign National/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ /Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries/Non Resident Indian-NRI is through:

a) DASA – for admission in B.Tech/ M.Tech and MBA Courses
b) EdCIL – for admission in M.A./ Ph.D Courses

All candidates must have full time studied and passed from an academic institution located in abroadwith the following academic qualifications as minimum eligibility conditions, for getting an admission in a respective academic programme.  Separate application is to be made for each of the program, if a candidate is applying for more than one academic programme.

“Person of Indian Origin"(PIO) in this context means a person having foreign citizenship without "NRI" status, who holds a Foreign Passport at the time of sending application, consideration for admission and during the period of his study, and he/she or anyone/both of his/her parents or anyone/both of his grandparents is (or was)/are (or were) citizen (s) of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Section2(b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of 1955)

"Foreign National"(FN) in this context means an individual having citizenship of a foreign country (citizens of all countries other than India) and not having the status of "NRI" and/or Person of Indian Origin" (PIO)

"Children of Indian Worker in the Gulf Countries": The children of an Indian who is working in Gulf Countries under relevant working visa.

FOR B. TECH
Admission through DASA 2015-16. Please refer the website https://www.dasanit.org/. Submission of online application from April 01 to June 01, 2015.

The per semester Academic Tuition fees for Foreign National is US $ 4,000. SAARC and African Nationals would be given scholarship as mentioned below Table C. All applicants would have to pay non-refundable registration fee of US $300 to DASA 2015 while filling online application. For Hostel and Mess Charges at the University please refer below Table B.

Min. 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent in Master Degree in Engineering/Technology/Science in an appropriate area from a University recognized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi;with English as medium of instruction, and further a valid GRE Score. The Statement of Purpose also shall be evaluated to determine the admission.

School of Liberal Studies: English Language & Literature, Public Policy & Public Administration, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, International Relations.

The University encourages the interdisciplinary research.

The above procedure is subject to modification whenever found necessary by the University.
If a dispute arises regarding any of the above provision, the decision of the Director General of the University shall be final and binding to all.
Jurisdiction: TheAdmission Procedure is subject to the jurisdiction of Hon’ble Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad.
